Congratulations on your assignment to Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea (ROK). Located just 48 miles south of the Korean De-militarized Zone (DMZ), Osan is home to the "Mustangs" of the 51st Fighter Wing, the Air Force's most forward deployed permanently-based fighter wing. In addition, Osan is home to our numbered Air Force headquarters and several tenant units. Team Osan's primary mission is to maintain combat readiness, with each of us playing a vital role in defending the ROK and maintaining stability in Northeast Asia.
