Col Amanda L. Siangco is the Commander, 51st Medical Group, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. As commander, she provides leadership and direction to personnel across three squadrons in the Air Force’s most forward-deployed permanent wing. The group’s primary mission is to provide trusted care and optimize human performance for over 21,000 warfighters, dependents and DoD civilians in the 7th Air Force, 51st Fighter Wing and 10 geographically separated units in peacetime and contingency operations. She oversees the Air Force’s largest war reserve materiel program valued at $94 million, ensures wartime readiness for 38 Air Force specialty codes within 24 disaster teams, and manages five forward operation bases. In addition, Col Robinson works intimately with the Republic of Korea to ensure strong partnerships with five top-tier trauma centers and the ROK Army Military Trauma Center on the peninsula.
Col Siangco enlisted into the Air Force in March 1992 and was accepted into the Airman Enlisted Commissioning Program in 1995. She was commissioned in July 1998 after completing her nursing degree with honors at Spalding University and fulfilling the requirements of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. While stationed at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, Col Siangco attended the University of Cambridge and received a Master of Studies in Community Health in 2005. In 2009, she completed a Master of Science degree in Nurse Anesthesia at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and has since maintained her board certification.
Col Siangco has held numerous nursing and leadership positions at various assignments to include Labor & Delivery, Critical Care, Critical Care Air Transport, and Nurse Anesthesia. Recently, she served as the Deputy Group Commander and Chief Nurse of the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and prior to that was the 5th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron Commander at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. She has served in deployed locations in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM'S SENTINEL, RESOLUTE SUPPORT, ALLIES REFUGE, and ALLIED WELCOME.
