AAPI power couple
Maj David Takahashi, 36th Fighter Squadron instructor pilot and weapons officer, taxis an F-16C Fighting Falcon after completing a training sortie around Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 12, 2022. Major Takahashi is of Filipino and Japanese descent and is one of the few Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) pilots in the Air Force. Takahashi is one of the few AAPI pilots to graduate from USAF Weapons School, earning him the title of Weapons Officer. Takahashi serves as the Chief of Weapons and Tactics, F-16 Division, for the 51st Operations Support Squadron, where he provides input for mission and exercise planning.
