Rysavy-Hollis Unit: 51st Maintenance Squadron Job title: Aircrew Egress Systems Journeyman Job description and its impact on the overall mission: Maintain ejection systems on both F-16 and A-10 aircraft. Perform maintenance on aircraft ejection seats, canopy assemblies and sub-systems. Remove, install and inspect egress system components as well as cartridge and pressure actuated devices. Record and monitor egress system Time Compliance Technical Orders and modifications. Load/track maintenance actions and manage explosive service life items in Integrated Maintenance Data System. Time in the military: 2 years 9 months Time at Osan: 7 months DEROS: September 2012 Hometown: Apopka, Fla. Hobbies: Softball, traveling, learning and exploring new things around the country. Why did you join the military? I joined to serve my country, make something better of myself and to travel the world. Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years? Master sergeant in 10 yrs and chief master sergeant in 20 years. What do you do for fun here? Play softball, travel around Korea, and meet new people. What is the best part of being at Osan? The camaraderie. We're all really good friends and work well together. What's your favorite Air Force memory or story? Most recently, meeting the pilot whose life our ejection system saved here at Osan Air Base and being a part of the shop that maintains that system. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Saving the life of a pilot. Who are your role models? Chief master sergeants -- that is where I strive to be in my career, and the NCOs and senior NCOs for assisting me to get there.
