Osan turns spooktacular for Halloween fun

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --  For those not faint of heart, the McPherson Community Center will sponsor the free Halloween Trick or Treat Bash 2011, Oct. 31.

Consisting of several events the bash is open to all ages. There will be a haunted trail, trick-or-treating and costume contest.

"These events are meant to satisfy the sweet tooth of all ages on base," said Senior Airman Courttni Bobek, Halloween Trick or Treat Bash 2011 coordinator. "We have something for everyone to enjoy."

The event is still in need of volunteers, she said. With a large event like this they need about 100 volunteers. The volunteers want to make this a fun and memorable experience, but also hope to scare everyone while they are at it, she said.

Volunteers are still needed for set-up and tear-down, actors for the haunted house, as well as ushers and many other supporting roles.

"On Halloween we set up the events, so that everyone can enjoy everything," said Master Sgt. Donna Danahey, bash director. "We designed the trail as a loop, so as you finish one event you're right into the next."
