Pyeongtaek University's music department is putting on a free concert at the Osan American High School here Dec. 5.

For three years now, music professors from the university have performed classical and pop music standards for servicemembers and families at Osan.

This year's concert will include music from such Broadway hits as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Phantom of the Opera

Through the power of music, the musicians hope to increase understanding and friendship between U.S. servicemembers and Koreans, said Eunsook Zeilfelder, a Pyeongtaek University professor.

"President Cho, Ki Hung appreciates Amercian (servicemembers') sacrifices to protect South Korea," said Mrs. Zeilfelder. "He would do anything to support American (servicemembers) to make them feel at home. That's why he decided to provide an annual concert during an American holiday season - to ease American military persons' homesickness."
